The end of the squirrel story...part III

No more squirrels to write blogs about...he (or they, I guess) has either left the roof or was the reason all the power went out on the street since there was a loud KA-BOOM and then darkness. I'm hoping he found new friends and decided to join some social group instead of the other option. 

 procrastinating in a serious way. need to write (not blog...paper) and since scientific writing is not appealing to me right now I feel like I should comment on boring political stuff.

Next interesting US political topic: who will be Obama's VP candidate? Edwards? Clinton? Evan Bayh? Webb? Thoughts? (Don't care is an appropriate response!) Lots of choices, should be interesting...heard discussions for the hour it took me to get home from the mall area because of horrible weather...thank goodness for XM radio and CNN.

 

Next interesting foreign topic: adding to the European Union...what will the oldies say to the newbies? Will they go for it? Will they see the benefits?? Who will be invited next? Another thing that might be worth watching is what will Gordon Brown do? Listen or lead...right now people are arguing there is too much listening and not enough leading...will he listen to that advice?
