I was really concerned when we didn't get rain yesterday. Anyone else sick of the rain?
Chances of catching juveniles are decreasing by the day...sigh
If you have any juvenile cowbirds (above pictures) in your backyard..actually a whole flock would be great (ok I live in a fantasy world...I know I know) let me know!! Every year I get "cowbird sightings" from eager people who watch nestlings like its their job. I've also had stories about how they defended the nest from other birds while the parents were getting food! And the kicker is when they mention that the nestling was bigger than the mom and dad. Definitely a cowbird. I had one of those moments the other day...it was funny.
